Thinking that that Obama and Palin photo is funny but not that funny. I need to get something else up at the top of my blog.
We got out the How the Grinch Stole Christmas! book last night. It has such a nice sentiment but then in the next moment I’m going over the remaining things on my Christmas shopping list.
Every Who down in Who-ville, the tall and the small,
Was singing! Without any presents at all!He HADN’T stopped Christmas from coming!
IT CAME
Somehow or other, it came just the same!And the Grinch with his Grinch-feet ice-cold in the snow,
Stood puzzled and puzzling: “How could it be so?”
“It came without ribbons! It came without tags!
It came without packages, boxes or bags!”
And he puzzled three hours, till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before!
“Maybe Christmas,” he thought, “doesn’t come from a store.
“Maybe Christmas… perhaps… means a little bit more!”
I love that he thought about it for a whole three hours before he realized what Christmas is really about. I don’t think that Grinch was very bright.
I’ve also been thinking about mom – and her hip replacement surgery which is happening next week. I’m looking forward to it being over for her. I know the recovery won’t be quick but she is strong and I’m not worried because she can handle it. Bea and I will be going back to Midland to stay with her for a week or so. I’m picturing myself loving her with food while Bea acts charming and plays nicely. I hope it goes like that and we are able to help her recover comfortably.
