Here are some photos from our lovely walk at The Chicago Botanic Garden. A surprisingly nice walk for a cloudy and chilly day. We saw so much red, orange and yellow.

I finally made these Candy Corn Cookies – easy peasy shortbread fun. Now I want to try this candy corn cake or this homemade candy corn recipe.

Oh how I wish we had a Maxwell’s Farm near Chicago so we could have this much fun picking our pumpkins every year. I haven’t found a pumpkin farm around here that can compare. 

Now that I have a Bea in the house I find bee themed stuff all over. I mean all over! Here is a great collection. Note to self: this would save a lot of trouble when planning a birthday party. Check out the lovelies.

Not much to report here we have been soaking up the last bits of Fall sunshine.  We went to a Northwestern soccer game the other night. It was good fun. We had a thermos of hot cider and some Cracker Jacks. During the game Bea would look at various players and asked over and over…

One of the only ways to get me to eat a banana.  Banana on Nutella on Homemade Bread on my beloved Fire King Blue Charm plate. Mmmm mmm.
