We had a really nice long weekend with Grandpa and Grandma J. We celebrated grandma’s birthday. We went for a lovely walk at the botanic garden. Mom and I went to a church rummage sale. And we made some progress on our front yard – removing those old shrub roots and buying some new shrubs (pictures to come).

Unfortunately Mom was suffering from a cold and she felt pretty bad. Now the girls and I are sick too. I was hoping for a productive week, but the girls are home from school and I’ve lowered my expectations to just cleaning the kitchen today.

They were setting up the miniature railroad garden – all the little buildings were waiting to be placed into the landscape of mini plants and railroad tracks.
