Last week the girls had their ski holiday – only we didn’t go skiing – we went to Seville.

– Seville has many massive impressive old historical buildings to admire

– Our girls are such good walkers – this was a vacation where we basically hit the pavement everyday all day

– There are oranges hanging down from trees everywhere – delightful

– It’s a pretty busy touristy area – crowds and lines for all the sights

– There is tile everywhere – the patterns and colors and the patterns all mushed up next to each other are so pretty

– I noticed that Spanish parents dress their kids very nicely. All the little boys had button down shirts with sweaters and little trousers and belts. The girls had sweet feminine dresses with tights and often their leather mary jane shoes matched the tights. Many girls had pretty color tights with the cutest shorts made of tweed or wool along with a fine little sweater or cardigan. Even the babies had blouses with fine floral prints and ruffly collars. Sorta made my kids look dumpy in their fleece and jeans and t-shirts.

– The stereotype of Spanish people eating dinner late really is true. Everyone came out onto the streets at 8:00 p.m.

– It was nice a warm and sunny – like the upper 60s (Farenheit). It was funny to walk around and see that the locals had winter coats and sweaters on while we were hot in our short sleeves. Our outfits screamed WE’RE FROM THE NORTH!

With all the sunshine and interesting architecture Seville is a very photogenic place – here are a bunch of photos:
