  • We took a little trip to the mountains with Grandma over the weekend. We went to Stanserhorn and the weather was perfect. It’s exciting to ride on the train with Claire: First we took an open air funicular: Then a big gondola the rest of the way up the mountain: We had a yummy lunch:…

  • I almost forgot about these photos from when we were in Midland. We took a nice walk through Dow Gardens with Grandma C.

  • Today my girls started back to school. It is a big change for Bea this year. She is going to 6th grade at the middle school and so she commutes all by herself. She walks from our house to the train station, takes the train and then a bus and then it’s another short walk…

Eating waffles…

  • We’re back in Midland enjoying the company of Grandma J. and Tucker. We’ve been trying to entertain ourselves by going to the river, getting out Dad’s microscopes, watching the Tour de France and doing lots of snuggling with Tucker. Oh Tucker!

  • Jennifer was supposed to sail in the Chicago to Mackinac race for the first time this weekend. Unfortunately the boat’s mast broke in a race the week before so she couldn’t sail. So instead we took the train down to the Chicago and watched the boats leave the harbor. It was a miserable day and…
