• On Saturday we visited a town called Thun (pronounced tune). I had a hard time narrowing my photos down. I’m a broken record, but yes, it was another lovely day.

  • Some of the eggs we colored were brown – they’re just as common in the grocery stores here as white eggs. I was pleasantly surprised with the neutral colors that came out. Looking forward to putting the Easter baskets together tomorrow.

  • Today we biked to the top of the highest hill on our side of the lake, it’s called Pfannenstiel. I had quite a time hauling myself up there while Brian was able to haul himself, two little girls and our picnic up without much trouble at all. I was happy I made it to the top. The sun poured down on us but it wasn’t overly warm. We could see the mountains splayed out in the distance and Lake Zurich was filled with sailboats below. It felt wonderful.

    Here’s Bea pumping up the tires for the bike trailer;

  • Bea came home from her playgroup with this last week:

    It’s a little hen made out of an egg carton. I love it, I love it, I love it. I’m so pleased to have entered the stage where she makes things like this and brings them home. Well we had to make some more so this little hen wouldn’t be so lonely didn’t we. And this time Bea wanted to use glittery pink paint.

    Here’s our proud little brood

  • Not really ready and really very ready at the same time. Claire and I are just about done with this.

  • She’s off and runnng… or crawling. She’s been trying to get her pudgy little hands on everything she can find that is within her reach.

    Sorry about the blurry photos. I sometimes take pictures without looking into the viewfinder. It helps when she sees my face instead of a camera in front of my face, but then I end up with the floor in focus. Oh well.

  • Brian ran his fourth marathon on Sunday. Here are the girls waiting for Daddy and having a little breakfast.

    Bea got a free fish from one of the race sponsors – she named it Lala Lee Lou.

    And there he is at about the halfway point. Go Daddy Go!

    Coming in to give a quick smooch to his little fans.

  • I asked Bea to take a photo of the dress I just finished. She’s becoming quite a photographer.

    It’s the socialite dress pattern by Anna Maria Horner. I think I like it. I might actually wear it.
