Bea is compelled to disagree with every nickname Brian gives her. Example: He’ll say “Good morning miss goofy” and she will reply “I not goofy Daddy”. Or Brian will say “Bea you’re a silly monkey” and Bea will say “I’m not a monkey”
So this morning Bea runs into our bedroom shouting “Mommy, I’m not normal”
You can guess that Brian got the bright idea to call Bea normal.

Last night I asked “what do you want to drink for dinner?” Bea requested chocolate milk. Then Brian chimed in and said he would like pink milk. I played the adult and had white milk. How many 34 year old men drink pink milk so enthusiastically?

Here are some photos from our lovely walk at The Chicago Botanic Garden. A surprisingly nice walk for a cloudy and chilly day. We saw so much red, orange and yellow.

I finally made these Candy Corn Cookies – easy peasy shortbread fun.

Now I want to try this candy corn cake or this homemade candy corn recipe.
Oh how I wish we had a Maxwell’s Farm near Chicago so we could have this much fun picking our pumpkins every year. I haven’t found a pumpkin farm around here that can compare.

Now that I have a Bea in the house I find bee themed stuff all over. I mean all over! Here is a great collection. Note to self: this would save a lot of trouble when planning a birthday party.
