• I adore the clothes that Jenny at Wiksten-Made designs so when I saw that she created a pattern for Stitch Magazine I had to have it. I love that it’s called the Tulip Skirt – perfect for making on a rainy April day.

Brian has been out of town so, as usual, I’ve been staying up late sewing. I finished the Tulip Skirt this morning and it turned out great. I only paid eight dollars for the fabric and best of all It even fits me. I think it could be made in a dressy fabric too – with some sparkling buttons.

    Here it is:

  • This is Bea having breakfast after a restless night. Get out the comb Mommy.

  • We drove up to the botanic garden today. Aaaah – finally a warm day and some real signs of spring.

  • I’ve been meaning to try this bloggers pattern for a Kidlet. She describes it as a wall pocket, tidy tote. I think I will use heavier interfacing if I do it again. The patchwork pocket was the funnest part.
  • Ice Cream for a very tired girl:

    Coloring Easter Eggs:

Some sort of inside joke between Bea and Grandpa:

Blueberry Pie that tasted like July:

    Lots of Grandma cuddles:

  • “she discovered with great delight that one does not love one’s children just because they are one’s children but because of the friendship formed while raising them”

  • UPDATE: Aaaak! Cottontail is now spelled correctly.

Another coloring page – to celebrate Easter (to download click the link not the picture).

  • When Jennifer and Mom were visiting last weekend we were all gathered around the table coloring. I was watching Jenna and the way she colored and I happened to ask Jennifer if she colored any actual things yet. Jennifer told me no – she was still just into the scribbling thing. Then two minutes later Jenna started drawing faces. It’s so cool that I got to witness this big step. I think this one was a portrait of her mother. Yeah – I can tell by looking at it – that’s Jennifer. Ha ha.
