• Thanks, Aunt Sandy, for the great little gift and the nice note. Bea just loves the water bottle and insists on keeping it within arms reach all day long.

  • Charming: Trying on my shoes

Not so charming: Unloading dresser drawers when she is supposed to be sleeping

Charming: Saying “Bike” over and over when I have the Tour de France on TV

Not so charming: Saying “NO when daddy comes home excited to see her and give her a kiss

Charming: Sitting in the sand and squealing every time a wave washes over her legs

Not so charming (but kinda cute): Testing me by repeatedly putting her feet on the table during meals

Charming: Responding with a loud “Beeeeeeee” and a big grin when I ask her what her name is
  • Here are some of Brian’s photos from his trip to London. He reports that they really do say fortnight, cheers mate and mind the gap.

  • We spent last week away from Daddy (he was in England for work) – and now he has to be off to phoenix for most of this week.

    We miss you.

  • The parade in Tawas was a hoot. Thanks for inviting us for a fun Fourth of July Jennifer.

  • I’m sure I’ll have tons of pictures just like these before the summer is done. I live a life of leisure to be sure – but golly a trip to the beach wears us both out.

More than every – I’m learning that going to the beach means getting sand everywhere.

  • This little piggy is more interested in her breakfast than saying good-bye to daddy.

  • I found these inspirational, fun illustrations on a Flickr group. I just love old children’s books. It makes me want to get out my paints and colored pencils.

    Happy Monday.
